VRF

VRF systems move refrigerant around a building instead of heated or cooled air the way a traditional system does.

Variable Speed Compressors
Standard compressors are either 100% off or 100% on – wasting energy when the system may not need full compression (97% of the time in most situations).  Variable speed compressors can deliver exactly what a system needs at any given moment.

Heating and Cooling Zones
As you can see in the diagram above, different areas of a building can require different supplied air temperatures.  Areas near sunny windows may require cooling while interior spaces may require heating.  A VRF system can target each zone individually.

Thermal Conservation
VRF systems can remove heat energy from an area that doesn’t need it and apply it to a different zone that does – bypassing the compressor and saving additional electricity.
